DEMI LOVATO AND AMERICAN IDOL JUDGE KARA DioGUARDI WORKING TOGETHER

Apple of Disney's eye Demi Lovato, who released album Don't Forget in 2008, is working with American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi on new songs for Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.

Lovato, in the midst of touring, the release of another new album and preparing for the production of "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam," has been hard at work recording songs for the movie's soundtrack.

It was on Twitter that, according to MTV, Lovato revealed that she is now recording songs with DioGuardi, no stranger to Camp Rock. "Fun Fact:", wrote Lovato, "Kara wrote Camp Rock's 'We Rock' and my song 'The Middle.' And we co-wrote 'Believe in Me' together. Psshh ... I knew her butt PRE-American Idol!!!"

DioGuardi, Toby Gad and a number of other songwriters have been asked to lend their talents to the soundtrack which Disney reports will feature a number of music genres, including pop, rock, R&B and hip-hop.

Lovato reportedly said that she is excited to be Mitchie for the second "Camp Rock" film, and excited to be back at work with the Jonas Brothers who it is rumored may also be involved in some songs with her too. "They're my closest friends," said Lovato. "Even in our free time, we'd be like, 'Let's go write a song.' We were just thinking it's going to be so much fun." Sphere: Related Content
