Actor Neil Patrick Harris, who hosted the Tony Awards this year, joined regular American Idol judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi during auditions on Tuesday in Dallas, according to E!Online.
Harris becomes the eighth guest judge to sit in the judging post vacated this season by Paula Abdul.
On stage, Harris, known for "How I Met Your Mother", has performed in "Rent" and "Sweeney Todd." He also played the title character in "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog." Sphere: Related Content
